FAQs

When will the meetings happen?

Meetings will occur online and pre-arranged dates and times. To accommodate a variety of schedules, we will alternate meeting times between evenings, weekends and over lunch hours. Meetings will primarily be online.

How many people will there be?

The groups will be small to maintain a supportive, confidential environment. There will be a max of 8 households in each group.

What kinds of topics will be discussed?

Starting July 2025, we have the following topics lined up:

  • ADHD and executive functioning -- Non-pharmacologic tools for building executive functioning skills. Support for parents of children with ADHD—including how to stay resourced when you’re exhausted.

  • Anxiety -- It’s common—and sometimes helpful. But how much is too much? Learn how to support kids in recognizing their internal “mood meter” and building self-regulation skills.

  • The emergence of peer orientation -- we will discuss an excerpt from Gabor Mate’s book Hold on to Your Kids and we will discuss different aspects of cultivating the parent-child connection when peer influence emerges.

In future installments, we’ll cover a range of real-life parenting topics—including emotional regulation, school stress, sibling conflict, screen time, and communicating with kids from ages 5–18. You'll also learn tools from evidence-based coaching, child development, and behavior science. Curated, evidence-informed resource lists (books, podcasts, interviews and the like) specific to ADHD, mood disorders, learning differences, navigating the health care system will become available to participants.

What if I’ve never done coaching before?

No problem! This is a supportive, no-pressure space. Coaching is about listening, asking good questions, and helping you find what works for your family. You don't need any prior experience—just curiosity and a desire to grow.

What if I’m interested but not ready to commit?

Totally understandable. You’re welcome to join the mailing list or attend a one-time workshop to get a feel for it. The quarterly membership is low-cost and flexible—you can cancel anytime, no pressure.

What’s the time commitment?

We know life is full—especially for parents. The community is designed to be flexible: we offer one live group session monthly with accompanying handout with resources. You can engage with resources and on your own schedule. Join as much or as little as works for you.
