Parenting Can Feel Harder Than You Expected.
You’ve read the books.
Listened to the podcasts.
Tried new strategies.
Maybe even asked ChatGPT for advice. And yet…
It still turns into nagging.
Yelling.
Repeating yourself.
Power struggles.
Screen battles.
Meltdowns.
Exhaustion.You love your child.
You want connection.
But some days you feel overwhelmed, reactive, or stuck. If you’re raising a neurodivergent child, the intensity can be even greater — requiring more patience, flexibility, and resilience than anyone prepared you for.
You are not alone.
And you are not failing. -
More confidence and connection: yes, please.
What If Parenting Felt More Grounded?
Coaching helps you:
Stay regulated when emotions run high
Respond instead of react
Reduce repeating power struggles
Navigate screen conflict with more clarity
Support academic stress and self-doubt
Build connection without constant managing
This isn’t about becoming a “perfect” parent.
It’s about building your capacity. The Foundation of My Work
Everything we do is grounded in evidence-informed science:
Self-compassion (because shame never builds skill)
Nervous system science (regulated parents regulate children)
Practical communication tools
Growth mindset and resilience research
Even the former U.S. Surgeon General has highlighted the crisis of parental stress. Parenting is meaningful — and deeply demanding. You deserve support that strengthens you, not more pressure.

What is coaching?
Coaching is a collaborative process of discovery in which a trained coach helps one recognize thoughts and feelings with the goal of moving forward toward a desired outcome. Coaching brings awareness to limiting beliefs and thought patterns that we often don’t even recognize are there. Unlike therapy, coaching is grounded in the present moment and explores how current thoughts impact feelings which in turn drive actions that determine results. Coaching is an unregulated industry and there is no requirement for licensure.
As your coach I will:
-Be an engaged listener
-Ask powerful questions
-Help you identify limiting beliefs
-Help you expand thought processes
-Help you design action steps
-Teach you evidence-based practices to help lay the path forward
-Provide a non-judgmental, confidential and nurturing space for exploration of thoughts, feelings and goals.
Coaching is not therapy and should not replace care from a licensed professional.

“I have really enjoyed my sessions with Dr. Humphreys - I find her to be kind, open-minded, inquisitive and thoughtful.
Dr. Humphreys helped me better understand how to apply coaching principles to daily life. This has in turn helped increase my curiosity about what thoughts are driving my feelings and where I can make small shifts to experience a different outcome - particularly with some personal life challenges. What’s nice is the same concepts apply to almost any aspect of life!! I am so grateful for her time and expertise helping me work a new muscle, one I continue to flex on the regular. I would highly recommend Dr. Humphreys to anyone.” —PD

She helped me re-frame a number of things and challenge the way I approach things.” —KT
